Pesticides
According to the Environmental Working Group, the most heavily contaminated fruits are: peaches, apples, strawberries, nectarines, pears, cherries, red raspberries, and imported grapes. (Listed from the highest levels of pesticide residue found to the lowest)
The vegetables with the highest levels of pesticides are: spinach, bell peppers, celery, potatoes, and hot peppers.
Try to buy organic when ever possible, if you can’t buy organic, local is second best. Think about it, if your grapes came all the way from South America and they don’t have a mark on them, what’s keeping them looking that fresh?
